As a strategic marketing research and consulting firm, MaPS develops custom approaches to address the unique needs of each client. A MaPS team of business, industry, and technical professionals combine their expertise to ensure the strategic and tactical actionability of each engagement.

Our projects can be broadly grouped into four categories:

Our success on each project is built on strong core competencies in market research and statistical methods.

Market Research

MaPS employs a variety of research techniques to support our clients' information needs. Our research efforts are typically multi-faceted, qualitative or quantitative in nature, and in many cases global in scope. In fact, the firm has conducted research in more than forty countries, across six continents. Specific market research experience includes:

For online data collection, MaPS has developed a fully integrated Web-survey design, hosting, and analysis system that adheres to stringent security and privacy standards. This in-house system provides fast, cost-effective data collection when Web-based surveys are appropriate.

For quantitative data collection efforts involving telephone, mail, or in-person (intercept, door-to-door, or central recruit) interviewing, MaPS subcontracts to long-term data collection and data processing partners. This approach frees MaPS to negotiate and work with a myriad of high quality data collection providers without the hindrance of "feeding" an in-house data collection profit-center.

Statistical Methods

Through a combination of proprietary software and a world-class team of professionals, MaPS provides marketing science capabilities that are widely regarded as best-in-class. MaPS' analytic methods and our innovative approaches to utilizing them, enables us to solve client marketing problems that might otherwise be considered unsolvable.

Additionally, our associations with leading marketing science academics provide a continual source of new methodological approaches, and ensure that MaPS will continue to deliver breakthrough applications of statistical and analytic models to marketing problems.
